Apollo 11 lunar surface panoramic views An Apollo 11 panoramic view of two areas of the lunar surface near where the Apollo 11 Lunar Module (LM) touched down on July 20, 1969. The upper view shows tiny rocks and craters on the surface, looking east. The view in the bottom panorama is focused on a partially shaded crater some 200 feet east of the Apollo 11 LM. The object in the foreground, casting a shadow toward the photo's left corner, is the Apollo 11 35mm stereo close-up camera.
